Divvycast has recently gone Beta with a business plan that believes that all of their users should: produce, publish, and get paid. The concept behind the website and the software that they are offering for signing up seems savvy.
Divvycast encourages different bands, artists, music producers, and DJ’s to sign-up for their website and Divvycast will take care on the grunt work associated with promotion. Divvycast ensures that the produced podcasts will be placed on major traffic areas on the Net’ including Yahoo! and iTunes Podcasts.
Here is a plan breakdown:
Free - 15 day trial includes 500MB storage/15GB bandwidth and it includes a free copy of ePodcast Creator Lite for PC or Mac.
Level I – $9.95 per month or $99.95 per year and it includes 1GB of data storage and 50GB of bandwidth transfer. This plan includes ePodcast creator.
Level II – $19.95 per month or $199 per year. This includes 2GB of data storage and a 100GB of bandwidth data transfer.
Level III – $29.95 per month or $299 per year. This includes a copy of ePodcast Producer, 4GB of data storage, and 200GB of bandwidth data transfer.
Divvycast believes that users should have control of their advertising campaigns and be able to select who they want as sponsors. Many musicians know that attracting a sponsor is rather difficult so Divvycast offers an [FAQ] on some marketing tactics.
If you notice in the FAQ, one thing that seems a little bit off is the question about “How do I Get Paid?” It states that users will be paid within 90 days. I have usually seen websites that guarantee to pay users a lot quicker than that.
Divvycast is a venture created by Washington-based Singing Electrons, Inc. and also has offices in NY. The subsidiary company of SEI, Industrial Audio Software created ePodcast Creator and has won the “Best All-Inclusive Podcasting Software†Award from the Portable Media Expo in 2005.
