Microsoft Releasing Windows Live Service Agents

Microsoft LogoMicrosoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) with their new subsidiary, Colloquis are in the midst of developing a new, exciting form of customer service.  The Microsoft-Colloquis initiative is to build a customer interactive software called Windows Live Service Agents.  The Windows Live Service Agents will be an addition to the Microsoft® Customer Care Framework (CCF).

Windows Live Service Agents will enable users to call a Microsoft phone number and Colloquis Logodescribe the symptoms of their technical problems and the Windows Live Service Agent computer will suggest remedies in real-time.  The first version of the Windows Live Service Agent will be rolled out this Fall to support Microsoft Corporation’s XBox 360.  Shortly after, Microsoft will use Colloquis technology to entertain and gather information based on request keystrokes via Windows Live Messenger.

For those who use AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Colloquis has developed a screenname that enables AIM users to gather requested information from as well.  The screenname for this AIM ‘bot’ is SmarterChild.  SmarterChild has had conversations with over 15 million users according to AOL.
