Knover: How Many Degrees Are People Away From Kevin Bacon?

I read about a company called Knover which recently had a press release on Business Wire today. The reason for the press release was because Knover has introduced “the world’s first consumer knowledge rover [source].”
The cool part of this website is that it not only contains profiles of celebrities, politicians, and other notable personas, but it also shows how these people are interconnected. When I went to the Knover homepage, I noticed that a Dustin Diamond profile was on the Popular People page. I had an interest in Dustin Diamond because I saw him perform live stand-up in Ann Arbor, MI and I enjoyed watching Saved By The Bell in my teenage years.

You will notice that when you look at celebrity profiles, there are links to the products that are relevant and that there are associations below these profiles. When you click on “Why Associated,” it pulls up several links that has the profile celebrities name and the associated celebrities name in them.Â
For each profile, there are forms of multimedia that can be added such as links to embedded videos from YouTube [Dustin Diamond multimedia].Â
Knover is growing at a rapid pace and hundreds of profiles are being added each day. Knover was founded by former Walt Disney and Goldman-Sachs as well as a Harvard Business School alumni, John Collier. Another co-founder of Knover is Brian Lima, a former researcher at Yale University and a Cornell University alumni.
**The reason for this article title is because there is a running gag where people try to find out how many degrees away that they are from actor, [Kevin Bacon].
