Google Finance LogoVideos, charts of extended hour markets, and a drag+drop interface for portfolio stock order are all new features of Google Finance. This announcement was made official by the Google Blog post entitled “What happens on Wall Street…”.

There are now finance-related Google Video/YouTube-powered videos on the frontpage of Google Finance. The videos will contain footage from CBS, Forbes, Reuters, and comedic videos from WallStrip.

When looking at the stock charts, you can display extended hours by check-marking the feature in the Settings menu as displayed below:

The last feature which the Google Blog wrote about, the drag+drop feature doesn’t seem to be implemented as of yet. The idea behind this feature is that you can sort your stocks in your own order of preference and not just in alphabetical order.

One feature that I would like to see Google Finance have is making the individual sections drag+drop style. There’s a lot of blank space on the website that the user should be able to fill up. Other than that, the new features are great.
