Fairwinds Partners Logo“Based on modeling, we’re putting it way over $50 million,” stated Joshua Bourne, a co-founder of FairWinds Partners.  Fairwinds Partners is referring to their valuation of the domain that they own, Pharmacy.com.  Currently on the Pharmacy.com homepage, there are a few statistics to help entice the sale: 100 million purchases were made on online pharmacies last year and were expected to generate $12 billion in revenue.

Ron Jackson, an editor of Domain Name Journal believes that this domain name will sell for $50 million, especially for being underdeveloped.  Porn.com made roughly $9.5 million, Sex.com made about $12 million, diamond.com made about $7.5 million.  None of them were able to break $15 million.

For anyone that is interested in the buying and selling of domain names, I’d recommend checking out Sedo.com.  They have some interesting bids happening at all times.  According to Sedo, Shrimp.com is selling for over $3 million and healthscare.com is selling for over $2 million.

The current owner of Pharmacy.com is a medical equipment company called Rotech.  Rotech is based in Orlando, FL.
