Bode Miller, a professional skier, started his own social network called SkiSpace.com. MySpace’s motto is A Place for Friends, but SkiSpace’s motto is Fresh Powder. Cool People. Hot Places. For those interested in joining SkiSpace, the social network offers blogs, comments, photos, videos, and messages [source: Mashable]. Users can also upload photos and videos. What makes SkiSpace niche is the Resorts, Travel Center, and a store features.
The homepage displays new users, National Ski News, and SkiSpace Gear. SkiSpace Gear is powered by BackCountry.com. And the social network was made in conjunction with PathConnect LLC.
