AOL Acquires Advertising Company, Buy.at. This Makes 5 Ad Network Acquisitions By AOL In The Last Year.

“[This] will position AOL’s Advertising.com to serve merchant and retail advertisers with the industry’s most comprehensive set of performance marketing offerings to drive sales and other transactions, leveraging Advertising.com’s Web advertising network and search engine marketing services and now buy.at’s innovative affiliate network,” stated AOL Chairman/CEO Randy Falco.

Time Warner Inc. subsidiary company, AOL LLC has announced today that they have acquired buy.at. buy.at is a London-based online affiliate marketing networking company. AOL is integrating buy.at into their Advertising.com business unit.

buy.at uses Pixel, Server 2 Server (S2S), and Batch tracking to capture demographics of visitors. The company has program partnerships with Ticketmaster, Swarovski US, Reunion.com, and CD WOW!

buy.at is AOL’s 5th acquisition of an advertising company this year alone. In the last year, AOL also acquired Quigo, Tacoda, Third Screen Media, AdTechAG. Financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed. Before the acquisition, DFJ Esprit served as an investor in buy.at.
