I see DoubleClick ads on my Wall Street Journal mobile notifications too.and sometimes i see doubleclick ads built into other popular web sites by reading the bar at the bottom of the web browser.

i think doubleclick has stronger market share than aquantive.

I believe that Microsoft bought aQuantive to prove a point to Google. Google bought DoubleClick for roughly $2-$3 billion. So Microsoft used their muscle to buy aQuantive for $5-$6 billion.

Now that Google has clearance from the EU, they can ramp up DoubleClick to seize more marketshare. This is what Microsoft should be doing with aQuantive, not buying up a few mom-and-pop advertising shops.

I don't think Microsoft hunger will end any time soon and I don't think that bringing new technology to their house will do any harm do their employee satisfaction.
