Some of your friends are trigger-happy when it comes to sending out applications on Facebook. This can be very pesky. Now you can straight up block specific users from sending you any kind of applications. Nice move for users, bad for developers.
Below is a screenshot of the ignore button. All you have to do is click “Ignore All Invites From This Friend” and their invitations are now history.

Thats what you get, Nate Kennedy. Maybe I’d reconsider if you sent a Detriot Tigers application.

“bad for developers”? Only those that aren’t any good. Create applications people want to use, and it isn’t a problem. If you can’t do that, you shouldn’t have been developing apps in the first place.
Higher quality apps means people will respect the developer more. And I’ve heard of people that actually DISABLE THEIR ADBLOCKER if they respect the company, and want them to do well.
On the other hand, badly crafted apps will just cause people to leave Facebook, thus diminishing the potential number of clients.
So, it’s win-win for all involved.
