When I first became a single father nearly a decade ago, there was parenting information available, but it didn’t address the unique needs of single dads, stated Richard Jaramillo, founder of SingleDad.com. “Even today there is a limited amount of resources geared specifically toward meeting their needs. More fathers are raising families on their own and SingleDad.com can help them manage the everyday challenges they encounter.”

San Diego, Calif. based entrepreneur and single dad, Richard “RJ” Jaramillo has officially announced the launch of SingleDad.com.  SingleDad is a social network for fathers that raise families on their own.  SingleDad opened up registration this past Father’s Day (June 15).  The company was founded in 2007.

SingleDad features include articles, how-tos, meet ups, and get referrals.  Topics of discussion on SingleDad are wealth & career, health & fitness, dating & advice, family & fatherhood, home & cooking, travel & entertainment, and style.  The community section of SingleDad includes a search feature, invite feature, list of friends, list of events, list of groups, photo albums, blogs, and messages.  The company store includes SingleDad Mugs for $6.99, Journal for $12.99, and T-shirts for $19.99

Jaramillo is a father of three.
