No worries, Everett. I appreciate the correction. I read the press release wrong.

The press release stated:
“With more than 9 million users posting 2
million photos, 19,000 videos and 55,000 blog entries daily.”

I read it as 19,000 videos and 55,000 blog entries daily, but wasn’t sure if the 2 million photos were included in the “daily” portion.

But now I know

I definitely don’t want to tell you how to write your blog, but it still sounds a little misleading. It sounds as if you were quoting the figures that appear on the Multiply splash page, which reads:

“Our 9 million members upload more than 2,000,000 photos and 19,000 videos every day”

Note that 2,000,000 photos are uploaded *per day*, not the total amount on Multiply. (How this figure will change as a result of the brand-new AutoUploader remains to be seen, but as for now, that figure reflects photos uploaded manually.)

“Multiply has over 9 million users that have posted 2 million photos.”

When read literally, that sounds quite flattering. That said, the 9 million figure is the total userbase, and 2 million the number of photos uploaded *daily*.
