The power of the individual is upon us. With a computer and an internet connection a individual can become a powerful force in cyberspace. For a traditional media to compete in this business, they need to go against not only their normal traditional media companies but also hundreds of other new age journalists (bloggers). As time continues you will see a few blogs that come to the top with solid/popular content. As time continues these blogs turn into another media outlet for a story to get out to passionate individuals instead of a news paper that has a wide audience.

I mean if your a company that wants to get a story out to your specific niche, why wouldn't you go to a blog first? I mean I know there are many positives to traditional media, but the better content is coming from the blogs.

Peter R. - Personally I LOVED business 2.0, they were indepth stories that were current.

It's not that traditional companies can't find better talent, they just need to find ways to co-exist with modern media.
