GraphOn Suing Google Over Patent Violation

In a move out of left field, GraphOn has decided to sue Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG).  Graphon Corporation   (OTC:GOJO) is a Santa Cruz, Calif. based custom application company.  GraphOn claims that Google violated their patents.  The patent violations include Google Base, AdWords, Blogger, YouTube, and Sites.

GraphOn attained the patents when acquiring Network Engineering Software in 2005.  Google has not yet commented on the lawsuit because they have not yet received the complaint. 

GraphOn filed similar lawsuits against IAC, Autotrader.com, Careerbuilder.com, Yahoo!, eHarmony, and a few others.  The lawsuit filed by GraphOn revolve around patents:
1.) 6,324,538: Automated On-line Information Service and Directory, Particularly for the World Wide Web
2.) 6,850,940: Automated On-line Information Service and Directory, Particularly for the World Wide Web
3.) 7,028,034: Method and apparatus for providing a dynamically-updating pay-for-service web site
4.) 7,269,591: Method and apparatus for providing a dynamically-updating pay-for-service web site

The lawsuit was filed at the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas.
