Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has announced that their Street View feature is now available on mobile phones.  This also includes walking directors and business reviews.  Google made it clear that the new version of Street Views is now much faster.  This feature works on BlackBerrys with color screens and Java support.  This feature does not work on the Apple iPhone yet.

This past May, Google gave a demonstration of Street View using the Google Android operating system.  Using Android, based on the way a user moves with a phone in their hand, the Street View would move around.  That is one killer app that Google may want to keep exclusive on Android.

Below is a video of Josh, a software engineer at Google explaining how Google Maps for Mobile works with Street View.  To download Google Maps for Mobile, go to http://www.google.com/gmm.  Google is working on making this feature compatible with other platforms.  Michael Siliski, Product Manager announced the feature on the Official Google Mobile blog.
