The roommates of David Kernell appeared in front of a grand jury at the federal courthouse on Georgia Avenue in Chattanooga, Tennessee earlier this week.  These three individuals were questioned by the grand jury about the involvement of David Kernell hacking into the e-mail account of Sarah Palin.  The students declined to give their names and did not answer any of the questions.  Neither did their lawyer.

Basically the case is still inconclusive about whether Kernell will be charged with a crime or not.  The grand jury will meet again to hear other evidence in the case of the University of Tennessee student.

“I have been asked by the Kernell family to represent their son, David. This is a difficult time for David and his family,” stated Kernell’s attorney, Wade V. Davies. “The Kernell family wants to do the right thing, and they want what is best for their son. We are confident that the truth will emerge as we go through the process. David is a decent and intelligent young man, and I look forward to assisting him during this difficult period.”

About 10 FBI agents showed up to Kernell’s apartment this past Friday with a search warrant and photographed it.  For previous coverage of the Sarah Palin hacking, refer to: http://pulse2.com/?s=palin.
