Hi Amit, An interesting take, have you viewed the Auction site count at PSU? You wil notice that the alternatives are already in existance but the sellers have not yet gravitated to 1 leading contender. Perhaps Amazon have already assumed this role?

They own a good amount of Craigslist. eBay bought about 25% of Craigslist for $13.500 million in 2004. Here is a list of other eBay acquisitions:
