Back on Topps is a new Michael Eisner sponsored video web series that stars fictional characters Leif and Leyland Topps, founder of Topps cards. The Topps brothers are played by twin comedians Randy and Jason Sklar.  The Sklar brothers are also known for acting in commercials for Microsoft and for making a cameo in an episode of Entourage.

Skype advertises heavily for Back on Topps and even had product placement in the second episode.  A stalker wanted to Skype with his parole officer to check-in.

The web series about several executives attempting to give Topps trading get it’s edge back after Michael Eisner acquired the company.  Eisner’s voice actually appears in the first episode.  New episodes appear every Tuesday and Thursday.  Each episode is less than 10 minutes.

Back on Topps has the work environment and plays on actual companies like 30 Rock, the slapstick of The Office, and the ironic twists of Seinfeld.  This is the best and funniest web video series on the Internet today, hands-down.

Madison Dearborn and Tortante (Eisner’s investment firm) acquired The Topps Company Inc. for $385 million in 2007.  Upper Deck attempted to acquire Topps for $425 million, but Topps backed out because of fear of antitrust regulation.
