Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) introduced a new line of iPods and iPhones in September. Then they brought us a new line of MacBooks this past week. Now they are expected to launch a new set of iMacs in November, just-in-time for the holiday season.
New iMacs are expected to have an improvement in speed and technology. As MacBooks are now powered with a new set of Nvidia GeForce 9400 and 9600Ms, it would not be surprising to see iMacs match those video card specs.
AppleInsider also points out that Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is working on quad-core mobile chips and will eventually be added in iMacs as they get ready to introduce Snow Leopard next year. New iMacs will probably have DisplayPort built in too.
This Tuesday, Apple will be releasing their earnings report for the end of the quarter.
“The upshot is that even against a very bleak macroeconomic backdrop,” stated Yair Reiner, an analyst at Oppenheimer and Company. “Apple should be able to continue growing.”
