AT&T Acquires Wayport

AT&T said that it will acquire Wayport, a Wi-Fi provider, for $275 million. Wayport manages Wi-Fi hotspots in over 3000 locations. The acquisition will increase AT&Ts Wi-Fi hot spot count to around 20,000 in the US.

Wayport was founded in 1996. The company employes 350 people. Its corporate headquarters are located in Dallas.

The acquisition is an all cash deal.
