MySpace CEO Chris DeWolfe hinted that the company may launch its own portable MP3 player. An MP3 player will be a good fit for the recently launched MySpace Music. The music platform / MP3 player combination would rival Apple’s iPod / iTunes.
The MySpace music site had a successful launch. Over 1 billion streams of music were processed in the first few days of launch and over 80 million music playlists have been created on the site since launch.
