Donald Graham is the Chairman of CEO of the Washington Post Co. (NYSE:WPO).  Earlier this week, Graham has announced that he will be joining Facebook as a Board member.  Graham will be joining several other external members such as Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen, Jim Breyer, David Sze, and Paul Madera.

“Facebook has completely transformed how people interact by providing a compelling forum where millions and millions of people can connect and share,” stated Graham in a press release.  Graham has been a mentor for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg over the last few years and almost came close to becoming an investor.

Graham was elected president of The Harvard Crimson when attending Harvard College.  In 1971, Graham joined The Washington Post as a reporter and worked his way up to CEO in 1991.
