This is merely a rumor that BGR found out from an anonymous source.  Personally I don’t see what the benefit for AT&T to launch this program would be.

In June, AT&T may begin a “Phone Trade-In” program that allows customers to trade in phones that are less than two years old and it must be in fair shape.  The new phone will not have any subsidies applied so whatever the trade-in is worth is what you will receive.  Trade-ins would be valued between $50-$200.

AT&T hopes to alleviate complaints made for buying phones like a BlackBerry Curve only to discover that the Bold was launched 31 days later.  What are your thoughts?  Leave a comment.
