Inhabitat is a well known blog that focuses on all things environment-related.  A European angel investor has decided to invest $500,000 in Inhabitat’s network of sites.  Inhabitat was founded by Jill Fehrenbacher.

Fehrenbacher’s network of websites include Inhabitat, Inhabitots (for kids), and Inhabitatshop.com.  Jill also manages the Greener Gadgets conference.  Inhabitat plans to use the money to grow her team of bloggers and investment more in development.  Jill also plans to launch several spin off websites.  “Nothing too crazy,” stated Jill in an e-mail to BusinessInsider, “just saw a good opportunity to grow the business and add the kinds of resources that would help us get to that next level.”

Jill’s sister Katie is an editor for Earth2Tech, a website within GigaOm’s network.  And Jill’s husband is Engadget co-founder Peter Rojas.
