This robot should get its own show. We can call it Robot Nye The Science Guy. Apparently some researchers at Aberystwyth University in Wales have created a robot that was the first that attained scientific knowledge independently. The Adam robot has found out the roles that certain genes play in yeast cells. Adam also has the ability to plan additional experiments on these genes using the scientific method. Not too shabby, Adam. Ross King added that this frees up human scientists for more advanced experiments.

“Adam is a prototype but, in 10-20 years, I think machines like this could be commonly used in laboratories,” stated Prof. King. Adam can put together 1,000 experiments per day.
