Sony is having a hard time keeping up with the popularity of Apple’s iPod and iPhone line of products. They are hoping to make a dent in Apple’s market share with the introduction of the Sony PSP 2. According a source at Kotaku, the Sony PSP 2 is expected to hit the streets by next Christmas. The PSP 2 will have a sliding screen, two joysticks, and will be rockin’ the touchscreen capability.

Looking at the picture above, I could see myself enjoying the PSP 2 on a plane more than playing on an iPhone. It’ll be interesting to see some of the other game-changing features that Sony unleashes by the next holiday season.
