The Apple App Store is nearing one billion downloads very soon. The company launched the store only nine months ago and now there is an official countdown located here. Statistically speaking, the App Store is getting over 2.7 million downloads per week and over 11 million per month. As a celebration, Apple is giving away an iTunes Gift Card, an iPod Touch, a Time Capsule, and a MacBook Pro to lucky winners downloading an app. Who knows, maybe it will be you. If you win, let us know in the comments.
