The Conficker computer worm virus has attacked the University of Utah according to school officials. This includes 700 campus computers and the computers that belong to the three hospitals on the school’s campus. The virus was detected on Thursday and is known for stealing passwords and other personal information.

Staff and students have received information on how to prevent the virus from spreading further. The University shut off the Internet for six hours on Friday so that they could isolate the virus.
