Remember the opening scene in the first Fast and the Furious movie where a bunch of Honda Civics steal a semi-truck. All of the Civics had a green underbody kit in their cars. Ever since that scene, a lot of “ricers” wanted to stick those under their cars too.
Generate Design is selling the LIT Urban Underglow product for $199. This way you can stick and underbody kit under your bed to to help “set the mood.” The design was put together by Mark Pohlkamp.
For you sports enthusiasts out there, VholdR has built an HD camera that was intended to capture what you see while skiing, biking, etc. The camera is mounted on to a helmet and weighs only 4 ounces. The HD capture is about 720p and it is water resistant. About 8 hours of footage can be captured and an additional 16GB microSD card can be added. The camera will be available starting next month for $300 on the VholdR website.
Last week I wrote about how Broadcom made an unsolicited $764 million offer for Emulex. Fortunately for Broadcom, they have won a patent lawsuit which will require Qualcomm to pay them $891 million to settle. The payout will occure over the course of 4 years. This is the second time Qualcomm is being forced to pay Broadcom to settle a lawsuit.
However this settlement will dismiss all of the litigation taking place between both companies which includes all patent infringement claims made by Broadcom. Both companies have also agreed not to sue each other in the future regarding chip products and other services.

Tomorrow a city council in California will review Apple co-founder Steve Jobs’ petition to have an 84 year old mansion torn down to replaced with a smaller house that he prefers to live in. The mansion is 17,250 square feet and is a Spanish Colonial style. The mansion is called Jackling House because it is named after Daniel Jackling, a copper millionaire that passed away in 1956. The house was designed by architect George Washington Smith.
Steve Jobs bought the mansion in 1984, the same year that the first Mac was released. The mansion has 30 rooms and he lived there for the most of the 80′s before buying another place in Palo Alto. Jobs even called it “one of the biggest abominations of a house I’ve ever seen.”
Daniel Knight Hayden has made some menacing comments on his Twitter account under the user name CitizenQuasar. He wrote these messages from Oklahoma City where he was taken into custody for using the service. On Twitter, Hayden suggested that he was planning a war with the local government and police. Hayden said he was even willing to die for the cause.
“The WAR wWIL start on the stepes of the Oklahoma State Capitol. I will cast the first sotne. In the meantime, I await the police,” stated Hayden on Twitter. “START THE KILLING NOW!”
Hayden also mentioned that if police interfere with his cause, then he would “cut their heads off … and throw them on the State Capitol steps.” After Hayden was arrested and questioned, he was placed in a halfway house.
Hayden also has a MySpace account where he associates with a group called the Oath Keepers. The Oath Keepers is an anti-government organization where they claim that they are the defenders of the U.S. Constitution.
The iPhone platform has been targeted by many gaming companies to bring their already-successful franchise software to the mobile sector. Worms by Team17 Software is no exception.
Worms was created in 1995 and is based in a 2D-environment. The objective of the game is to select different weapons to eliminate other players. The surviving worm wins the stage. Some of the weapons include exploding sheep, guns, grenades etc.
Currently it is not yet known on when it will be released, but based on the video demo I can say that it will be very soon. The game will work on the iPod Touch and the iPhone. I agree with SlashGear when I say that I hope that it will have remote two-player modes so that you can play against other friends walking by.
There has been several studies that men and teenage boys should avoid keeping a laptop on their laps as it could affect sperm counts. This is the only reason I could imagine Belkin creating a cushion desk product for laptops and stamp it with a $30 price. The product is called the CushDesk. Fortunately for the lady above she doesn’t have to worry about this problem, but she decided to buy it anyway. Maybe Belkin marketing wanted to somehow convey that this product is compatible for women too.
