Samsung will begin manufacturing phase change RAM (PRAM) on a massive scale starting June.  PRAM has the ability rewrite data without the need to erase data first.  Samsung says that PRAM is 30 times faster and has a 10 times longer lifespan than today’s flash memory.  Even though Samsung is ramping up, it is not yet known what devices they will begin to appear in.
