Details About The Sirius-XM iPhone Application

As many of you are aware, Sirius-XM almost had to file for bankruptcy but was given a lifeline from Liberty Media. Shortly after resolving the financial issue, the company announced that they were going to make an iPhone application. Now we have found out additional information about their upcoming application.
The application will be for free, but will require a subscription to work. Current subscribers will have to pay $3/month for the application and non-subscribers have to pay $13 per month. This is quite hefty considering the other radio stations that are available for free (Pandora/Last.fm/Clear Channel/Shoutcast).
For those of you out there that are Sirius-XM satellite subscribers, do you think you’d shell out $3 per month for it?

Facebook Status Gives Away Location Of New Zealand Bank Thieves
![]()
Westpac Bank in New Zealand had accidentally deposited $8 million into the bank account of a service station owner Leo Gao and his girlfriend Cara Young. After discovering the money, they quickly withdrew the money and fled to somewhere in Asia.
The way it was discovered that the couple was in Asia was because Young’s sister Aroha Hurring joined them and posted details about their location in a Facebook status message. The message stated that she was enjoying the heat and the local Asian beer.
Young’s mother Sue Hurring said “Well you’ve got to have a laugh. It is bizarre.” Hurring then blamed her daughter’s boyfriend for the incident. “Well, if you really want to know I’d like to wring his blinging neck for getting the whole… I don’t know what to say. Never mind Leo, he can stay there. Just come home now please [Cara]. It’s going to be OK.”
Getting them to come home through extradition will not be possible because the New Zealand and China don’t have any sort of treaty agreement.
Cara and Leo both applied for a $10,000 loan and a Westpac employee accidentally inserted a few extra zeroes instantly giving the couple access to 10 million New Zealand dollars. The employee that made the slip is supposedly so distraught about what happened that he or she needed to see counseling.

Seiko Epson Advances Ink-Jet Technology For OLED Production

Seiko Epson has advanced their ink-jet technology that will give them the benefit of mass-producing OLED (organic LED) TVs within the next decade. OLEDs are able to handle fast-moving images much better than LCDs and plasma TVs.
“In an OLED screen, a thin layer of organic material produces its own light when an electric current is applied, removing the need for an additional backlight panel. With no need for a backlight, OLED displays are smaller, lighter and consume less power,” stated Martyn Williams of IDG News Service.
Seiko Epson plans on collaborating with other companies to push further technology development of OLEDs.
Bees Infest GameStop Store In Union Square

Earlier this week, a swarm of bees infested a GameStop store in Union Square New York. About one thousand bees were buzzing on the outside of the door and the employees were forced to lock themselves inside. One worker put up a sign that said “Look! … closed due to bee infestation.”
It took about two hours to get help from the police. The bees had built a hive running up the wall outside the GameStop store. A neighbor of the store attempted to use a camera’s flash to lure the bees away and into a bag. Then the police bee specialist arrived at about 4PM and used a queen bee’s scent. The swarm eventually was lured into a box. Police is sending the bees to hives upstate.
