YuMe Raises $2.9 Million, Bringing Total Funding To $19 Million

YuMe is a video advertising network company founded by Jayant Kadambi and Ayyappan Sankaran. Since the company started in March 2007, YuMe raised about $19 million. In the last round of funding, YuMe raised $2.9 million out of a $4.5 million round.
The investors in this round were not disclosed. The previous investors include Accel Partners, Khosla Ventures, BV Capital, and DAG Ventures. The company said that they plan on using the funding for copany expansion. YuMe already has a deal in place to power the advertising on Microsoft’s video websites.
