This year is Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary.  The cartoon kitty was produced by Japanese company Sanrio and launched in Japan in 1974.  The kitty was introduced in the U.S. two years later.  Now a Hello Kitty branded camera will be introduced in the form of a Casio Exilim EX-Z2.  The Z2 is a 12.1 megapixel camera with a 2.7″ LCD and 3x optical zoom.  The Hello Kitty-Casio package also includes a camera case, lanyard, and several other random girly stuff.  The HK Casio camera is available for pre-order at a price of $500.
