Earlier this week, Paula Abdul announced she was stepping down from American Idol as one of the judges.  To reach her fans in real-time about the announcement, she turned to Twitter to make the announcement.

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon,” tweeted Abdul.  She’s straight up now telling you that she’s going to be leaving forever, oh oh oh!

The reason why Abdul left was because she was seeking a better raise, but did not get one.  Personally I don’t think its that much of a huge loss considering that Abdul was seen as a flip-flopper.  During the auditions for Paula’s replacement, Katy Perry and Victoria Beckham have been lined up as interim judges.
