Salesforce.com Invests In Practice Fusion

San Francisco, Calif. based customer relationship management service company salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) has invested in Practice Fusion.  Practice Fusion Inc. is an electronic health record service.  Practice Fusion will be adding their health record system on the Force.com cloud computign platform as a result of the investment.

“With this investment from salesforce.com, Practice Fusion is now backed by the enterprise cloud computing leader,” stated Practice Fusion CEO Ryan Howard. “The technology, capital and leadership from this partnership will ensure that Practice Fusion continues to outpace our competitors who are sticking with expensive, legacy client/server software. This partnership positions Practice Fusion as the de-facto leader in the electronic health record sector.”

Practice Fusion has about 18,000 users across the U.S.  Practice Fusion launched in 2005.
