PiperJaffray Senior Research Analyst Gene Munster has made an ambitious prediction regarding a potential Apple table computer.  Munster predicted that if Apple sells 2 million tablet computers that would be priced between $500 and $700, the company could add about 3% revenue to their revenue for 2010.

That would give Apple an additional $1.2 billion in revenue. An anonymous Asian manufacturing company revealed that they have received orders from Apple that indicate production of a tablet computer.

The Financial Times reported that Apple may be launching the tablet computer with a 10″ diagonal screen as early as this September.  Michael Arrington plans on launching a tablet computer of his own called the Crunchpad around November.

According to several people that may be connected to the project, the tablet PC would have similar functionalities as the iPod Touch but with a much larger screen.
