Ooyala Hires Jay Fulcher As CEO

Ooyala is a video platform company that has just announced that Jay Fulcher will become their CEO.  Fulcher was CEO and President of Agile Software when Oracle bought the company for $495 million.  Ooyala is based in Mountain View, California and the company was founded by former Google employees.

Bismarck Lepe was the a founding CEO of the company before hiring Fulcher.  Lepe will now become the President of Product Strategy.  Aside from working at Agile Software, Fulcher is a former executive at PeopleSoft, Red Pepper Software, and SAP.

Ooyala designed a platform that has enabled over 500 corporate and media customers to stream high quality video online.  Some of their customers include Warner Brothers, EA, and Sybase.

Ooyala has raised a total of $10 million in funding thus far.  Ron Conway invested $1.5 million and Sierra Ventures invested $8.5 million.
