RightsFlow is a company that manages payments made to record labels and artists. The New York City based company has announced that they have raised $1.5 million in funding. RightsFlow started around 2007 and has about 1,500 clients which includes Muzak and imeem.
Music copyright can be very complex and since it is the specialty of RightsFlow, its a win-win for those that have to deal with the copyright and those that want to collect cash for their work. RightsFlow plans to use the funding to build a website where publishers can license their work.
The funding was provided by Originate Ventures. One of RightsFlows biggest competitors is RoyaltyShare.
