About three people recently broke into Lindsay Lohan’s house in Hollywood Hills this past Sunday. It was all captured on video and the Los Angeles Police Department decided to take the video to the Internet in order to get help in catching the suspects. The video has been uploaded to YouTube by the LAPD.
The video shows three young individuals. Two are female and one is male, but all of them are covered in scarves. Uploading the video of these three individuals on YouTube is an interesting approach. Given the millions of people that watch video clips on YouTube every day, someone is bound to recognize the people in the video.
“I’m sorry i haven’t been on in a bit… my life has been kind of in shambles considering my house was broken into and i feel really violated,” wrote Lohan on her Twitter account shortly after the incident took place.
Below is the video clip of the incident taking place.
Princeton University student Matthew Connor has received a $100,000 grant in order to write an iPhone that will help diabetics maintain their food consumption, blood sugar levels, and insulin intake. Connor is currently a junior in operations research and financial engineering.
Connor is working his brother to build a website that communicates with the iPhone application. Both will be building a website called the iAbetics Web 2.0 Diabetes Management System. The iPhone app is called Islet.
Those who suffer from diabetes constantly have to track their blood glucose levels and insulin intake. “You can hand write what you eat and your blood sugar numbers,” stated Connor. “But that gets pretty difficult if you’re on the go, and it’s hard to analyze without manually entering your handwritten notes into a computer.”
The grant was made by the Gelfand Family Charitable Trust. The grant was given after Connor won second place at the Primary Healthcare competition from the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology.
Chad Ochocinco is not letting the man hold him down from live tweeting during NFL football games. The National Football League has decided that if players are caught tweeting during games, they will be financially penalized. But Ochocinco has came up with a way to still tweet during games without touching Twitter himself.
During a Ustream broadcast, Ochocinco said that he will be launching a contest in which he will fly one of his followers every week to a Bengals game. He will then give the follower hand signals. The hand signals will indicate what he wants the follower to tweet for him.
This sounds like a great deal for Ochocinco’s followers. Not only will they be able to attend a football game, he will also be given a ticket to the game, and will get to hang out with Ochocinco himself. Below is a video of Ochocinco making the announcement:
The Apple iPhone will soon be launching in the most populated country in the world. A testing center for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has confirmed a government license for an iPhone prototype that was modified for the Chinese market.
It is uncertain how many licenses Apple must receive in order to sell the mobile device in China. But Apple has nearly completed the negotiations necessary to have China Unicom distribute the phone.
An analyst Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong anticipates that the phone should be available as early as October. China currently has about 687 million mobile phone users whereas the U.S. has about 270 million.

Chris Stephenson is a marketing executive for the Microsoft Zune. Stephenson has decided to leave the company in order to take a position with Universal Music Group according to a source with The Wall Street Journal.
It is rumored that Stephenson will be joining as the chief marketing officer at Universal’s Interscope Geffen A&M Records. Stephenson will be reporting to Jimmy Iovine.
Iovine is often credit for passing Eminem’s demo tape to Dr. Dre. Iovine also co-produced the movie 8 Mile. Before Iovine started Interscope, he was an engineer for John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen. Iovine also produced albums for Tom Petty, Patti Smith, U2 and Dire Straits.
Stephenson said that he was looking forward to returning to the entertainment industry. Before working at Microsoft, Stephenson was an executive at MTV. Stephenson joined Microsoft around 2006 to help market the Zune.
The Zune has been struggling to compete against the Apple iPod. And Stephenson’s departure comes at a time where Microsoft is close to shipping the Zune HD. The Zune HD is expected to arrive on shelves on September 15.
Stephenson often times compared the iPod to Mount Rainier in Seattle. The snow-covered mountain is just as difficult to climb as it is for Microsoft to compete with the iPod market share.
