Plum TV Raises $5M Out Of Planned $8M Second Round

Plum TV has raised about $5.2 million out of a $8 million second round of funding.  The funding was discovered in an SEC filing, but the investors were not revealed.  In the first round, Plum TV raised $20 million from former Viacom CEO Tom Freston and Margaritaville singer Jimmy Buffett.

Plum TV makes videos for luxurious areas such as Aspen, The Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Miami Beach, etc.  Plum TV clips are syndicated on blip.tv, Joost, Cablevision, and Comcast.  Plum TV makes live local shows and branded shows.

The company makes money by selling local and national ads.  Plum TV also makes money by e-mail and custom sponsorships.
