Jack Thompson Suing Facebook For Anti-Thompson Groups

Jack Thompson is an activist and former attorney that lives in Coral Gables, Florida. Thompson is best known for speaking out against video game violence and/or sex in video games. Thompson claims that the anti-Thompson groups on Facebook has caused him “great harm and distress.” Thompson added that he felt threatened by some of the messages. And there are hundreds of these groups.

Thompson compared his situation to the Barack Obama poll on Facebook which asked users whether the President should be assassinated or not. That poll was removed from the social network, but it had already spread pretty far. Thompson stated “Unlike our President, Thompson does not have the Secret Service to protect him.”
