Samantha Stubbe and Stevi Smet used Craigslist to lure men interested in a prostitute to certain locations in order to rob them. Stubbe’s male friends were the ones that actually robbed the men interested in the prostitutes. Smet served as the “female decoy outside the motel” according to The Smoking Gun.

Stubbe was charged for soliciting prostitution and being a party to armed robbery. Smet was charged with prostitution.

In May of this past year, Craigslist renamed erotic service ads to an “adult” section which costs $10 per post. Prostitution through Craigslist has become such a problem that the Cook County sheriff in Chicago filed a lawsuit against the classifieds company. The result of the lawsuit was the renaming of the erotic services section.
