Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster was in court today discussing a conflict with eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY). eBay bought 25% of Craigslist from a former Craigslist executive. Since then eBay launched an eBay competitor called Kijiji and Craigslist attempted to dilute the auction company’s shares in the company.

Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster said that he received an e-mail from eBay executive Garrett Price as a warning when dealing with former eBay CEO Meg Whitman.

“He said he needed to tell me there were two Meg Whitmans,” said Buckmaster in court. “We had met and reached an agreement with Good Meg. There was another Meg, an Evil Meg. We would be best served to know that Meg could be a monster when she got angry and frustrated.”

Craigslist claims that eBay promised not to start their own Craigslist competitor before starting Kijiji and acquiring several classifieds companies.
