Appolicious is an iPhone application directory that has just raised $1.5 million in funding from Apex Venture Partners and James Crouthamel (Performics founder). This is Appolicious’ first round of major funding and they have previously raised $500,000 in seed funding from Apex.
Appolicious writes news and recommendations about applications on the Apple App Store. The website also categories new and existing applications on their website and hosts discussions for developers and consumers. Appolicious was founded by former Yahoo! VP Alan Warms. Warms previously sold a company to Yahoo! called Buzztracker.
