eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) has some interesting numbers to talk about during this holiday season.  The company has sold about 1.5 million items through their mobile applications over the holiday season thus far.  The numbers are accounted for between eBay’s iPhone application and their mobile website.

During the same period last year, eBay sold about 500,000 items on their mobile applications and mobile website.  Some of the bigger items that were purchased over the mobile eBay applications included a $75,000 Chevrolet Corvette and a $10,000 grand piano.  The eBay iPhone application has been used about 6 million times and the mobile website receives 750,000 unique visitors per day.
