When Americans think of former President John Fitzgerald “Jack” Kennedy (JFK), they think about the time he spent in World War II, the way he defeated Nixon, the Space Race, the building of the Berlin Wall, the Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the African American Civil Rights Movement, the beginning of the Vietnam War, and the man’s assassination at a young age. Unforunately JFK was known to be a womanizer as well. He was believed to have an affair with Marilyn Monroe and Mimi Alford. This past week a new picture of JFK surfaced on the Internet and it was sent to TMZ.com.

TMZ.com is a blog and celebrity gossip channel show and operated by Aol and Time Warner. When TMZ was sent the picture below, they immediately verified whether it was real or not. The picture features JFK lying down on a boat and he seems to be partying with several naked women. It turns out this picture was a hoax.

The Smoking Gun website revealed a color picture in a Playboy magazine from 1967 that shows the exact same poses for the women jumping around, but there is a different man laying down in the snapshot instead of JFK. That means that the fake JFK photo below was altered after 1967 and JFK died in 1963.

Had this photo been real, do you think that it would have changed your views on JFK? Leave a comment and let us know.

Shan Sadiq and I started working on Pulse2 as a full time business in June 2008. Since then our business has grown in leaps and bounds. Pulse2.com has been our primary revenue source up until we started designing iPhone applications. We started designing iPhone applications in January 2009. And one of the latest developments regarding that aspect of our business is that Apple has decided to feature our Greek Gods application [iTunes link] as a Staff Favorite within the Education section. Now Greek Gods is a top 10 application within the Education category of iTunes.

Greek Gods is an application that has a database of all the Greek Gods and a description of them. There is a description of over 600 Greek Gods in our database. To navigate around the application, there is an intuitive wheel-based user interface. There is also a feature that allows you to bookmark Greek Gods. Search is built into the application too. A majority of our customer ratings for this iPhone application is 5 out of 5 stars.

Some of the features that we plan to add to this application in the form of updates include improved search, categorized Greek Gods, and Greek Gods quizzes. We also plan to increase the database size of the application so that Greek heroes are also included. This application is extremely useful for those who take humanities and art classes for school or if you have a keen interest in mythology.

One of the customers that reviewed Greek Gods said “Awesome resource for my World Mythology class. Allows me to understand the motives of the Gods.” We highly recommend that you check out our application and we appreciate Apple for helping us promote this application. If you have any feedback for our application, let us know in the comments.

Check out our other 24 applications by visiting the Pulse2 page on iTunes [iTunes link].

Health plan provider Medica has designed an interesting iPhone application advertisement. The tag line is “Because the light saber app couldn’t cut health care costs.” This advertisement cleverly referred to the popularity of the light saber application and will get customers to shop and say, “hey this advertisement is right, maybe I should download this app because it’ll help me potentially save money” at the same time.
