T-Mobile added about 1 million subscribers in 2009, thus increasing the total number to 33.8 million customers. Even though there was an increase in subscribers, the company’s yearly revenue declined to about $21.5 billion which is about a 1.6% drop in year over year. The company’s net income for the year was $306 million which dropped from the previous year’s $483 million. [BGR]

Music Mastermind is a company that develops music creation products and software. The company announced today that they have raised $4.9 million in funding from a set of undisclosed angel investors. The company showcased some of their products at this year’s past CES conference. Music Mastermind’s software could essentially take someone’s vocals and sync beats to it. Music Mastermind is based in Calabasas, California and started in 2008. They have about 15 employees and they plan to double that by the middle of this year. [VentureBeat]

Twitter users are currently being hit by a phishing attack. If you use Twitter and received a direct message that says “This you????” followed by a link, DO NOT CLICK THAT link. The link leads you to another website where you are asked to login using Twitter. Instead of logging into a website where there is Twitter support, you are actually e-mailing your user name and password to the website owner. Quantenna Communications has raised $15 million from Grazia Equity, Sequoia Capital, Sigma Partners, Southern Cross Venture Partners, Swisscom, and Venrock Associates. This is Quantenna’s fourth round of funding. The company develops Wi-Fi wireless radio chip sets that uses ways to improve the signals of Wi-Fi networks. Quantenna claims that their Wi-Fi chips can transfer data at a speed of 145 megabits per second at a range of 60 feet. Existing Wi-Fi chips are capable of 95 megabits per second. [VentureBeat]

PeerPong is a self-proclaimed social search startup that is currently in stealth mode. PeerPong is led by Ro Choy. Choy is the former chief revenue officer of RockYou.
