Picnik has just announced that they have been acquired by Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG). Picnik has about 20 employees and receives “millions of visitors” per month according to their internal stats. The price is undisclosed and Picnik said that they will remain online for the time being. What will happen to Picnik going forward is currently unknown, but I believe its a safe bet to assume that the service will be rolled into Picasa. [Picnik blog via ReadWriteWeb]
