Chevrolet Recalling 1.3 Vehicles For Steering Failure

General Motors is recalling 1.3 million Chevrolet and Pontiac vehicles over steering failure. The recall is applicable to the following vehicles:
– 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalts in the U.S.
– 2007-2010 Pontiac G5s in the U.S.
– 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuits in Canada
– 2005-2006 Pontiac G4s in Mexico

The power steering motor supplier JTEKT Corp. will need some time to make the 1.3 million replacements. Failures are rare and the cars can still be driven until the motors are replaced by dealers. [ChevroletInTheNews]
