General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz will be retiring on May 1. He worked in the automotive industry for about 47 years. He worked at General Motors, BMW, Chrysler, and Ford. Lutz worked at GM from 1963 to 1971. Then he rejoined in 2001.

“I can confidently say that the job I came here to do more than nine years ago is now complete,” stated Lutz in a prepared statement. “Our product lineup is as strong as it has been in GM’s history.” [CNN]
