Facebook May Start Using Geolocation For Status Messages Next Month

Next month Facebook may start including geolocation as part of status messages.  This means that Facebook friends will know where each other are without the use of services such as Foursquare and Gowalla.  According to the a source with The New York Times, Facebook plans to unleash this feature at the f8 conference in April.  Facebook added a portion to their privacy policy that says: “When you share your location with others or add a location to something you post, we treat that like any other content you post.” [NYT]
